My professional background is in electronic & systems engineering and project management, mainly in the biomedical sphere. I grew up in London and studied Electronic Engineering at Southampton University. A few years after graduating, I moved to the United States to spend 19 years living and working there, meeting my wife Sue (also English) along the way. We returned to England in 2004 and quickly settled in Cottenham, where we have lived ever since. I joined a Cambridge engineering consultancy as a project manager for medical device development, and Sue took up a position in the Dietetics Department at Addenbrookes. Our son attended both the village primary school and the village college, before going on to Hills Rd School and Southampton University. I retired in 2018, and since then have kept busy with home and garden DIY and decorating projects. My interests include board games, vegetarian cooking, environmental awareness, cycling and running.
